Dives in Punta Cana and Bavaro
offers every level of diver a great
diversity of experiences in these crystalline waters
where there is more than a mile of spectacular walls,
tunnels and overhangs, all within a few minutes of the
beach.
The currents here bring health and vibrancy to the reefs
and this makes for great snorkeling as well as fabulous
photographic backdrops. There is an impressive array of
blossoming low coral archways and towering reef
pinnacles separated by narrow swim troughs.
Sites range in depth from 20 to 60 feet and depending on
the weather, and visibility can reach up to 120 feet .
You'll also have the opportunity to explore the Astro
wreck which for 20 years now has been the home to a
myriad tropical fish. |

At 300 feet
in length the essential experience is a labyrinth of
swim troughs and narrow passages that lead deep into the
Astro,
allowing one to experience the phantoms at the farthest
margins of sight.
The wreck
hosts a swirling galaxy of fish, like an immense beehive
with the
frenetic activity of yellow tail snapper, grunts, blow
tangs and black dragons.
